ABK-AOTS DOSOKAI, September 6 - 8, 2002

To mark the 50th Year of Indo-Japan Diplomatic relationship

ABK-AOTS DOSOKAI organized an Art Exhibition on Block printing and Lotus leaf Sketching for 3 days 6th September to 8th September 2002.

They had also organised exhibition IKEBANA - Japanese Flower arrangements on 16th and 17th November 2002. The Sogetsu School with artistes like Malathi Pandurang , Mili Sanghavi, Rita Kothari, Ambika and Sangeetha, teamed up to arrange Guava or jasmine branches with bleached lotus pod, fern or cactus , with a combination of variety of fruits, rare flowers used Indian ceramic vases and metal vases. This event brought in a good coverage from the 'Indian Express -City Express' and live coverage by the local Tamil news channels.

19th and 20th of October 2002, was a Display of Japanese Postal Stamps released on different occasions in Japan, inaugurated by Mr.Masayuki Makiya, Consul General of Japan, Chennai

Organized an exhibition on the occasion of Dolls Festival - Hina-Matsuri during March 26th and 27th for 2 days.

19th and 20th of April 2003, was a Display of Japanese Postal Stamps released on different occasions in Japan.

All the above exhibitions were inaugurated by the Consul General of Japan, and the Consul of Japanese Consulate.
