DBS Style Bazaar, September 3 - 4, 2002
The concept of DBS Style Bazaar came about with the view to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship among women and endorse the importance of their financial independence. It opens an avenue for ladies, who are skilled, to display their goods under one roof. The first Style Bazaar was launched on September 3rd & 4th 2002, which was a huge success.There were approximately 30 stalls, with Women selling various things like cosmetics, garments ,jewellery, candles and home accessories, brownies and cookies, beaded handbags etc.
DBS offered complimentary stalls to NGO's that work for the noble cause of women advancement. This way, they are able to promote the good cause they work for. The first Style Bazaar, held on September 3rd & 4th, 2002, was a huge success and the response very encouraging. The exhibitors made wonderful contacts and even better sales! About 700 visitors shopped at the event.
DBS plans to organize more such Style Bazaars' and give opportunities to women to enter the enterprising world of business.
