A 25-Year Success Story International
Conference held to mark silver anniversary in Mumbai
The DBS Office Business Center, the largest network of
business centers in India, and an affiliate of the Alliance
Business Center Network, hosted an international conference
of members of the Global Office Network in Mumbai. Members
of the network from Dallas, Houston, Texas, Pakistan,
Toronto, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Zagreb and Paris attended
the conference which marked the completion of 25 successful
years of operation by DBS. It now has a presence in the
six major metros of India.
In a scenario where the cost of real estate is soaring,
DBS provides the Virtual Office, a viable option for Corporates
and Entrepreneurs alike. This is the only well-equipped
office of its kind that organisations or individuals can
secure without paying a brokerage.
For people constantly on the move or who operate from
home, the Virtual Office, a fully furnished equipped premises,
enables them to have their own business identity, their
own corporate address and to stay in touch with their
clients and present a world-class image.
Shamsunder Aggarwal, Chairman of DBS, is a pioneer of
the Office Business Center in India, having been in it
since 1980. The concept was initiated at a time when the
idea of business centers was totally alien to corporate
India. R.A. Walsh, a management consultant from the UK,
came down to help set up the first business center in
Mumbai in August 1980.
The idea of a Virtual Office was slow to catch on. The
first six months saw only four clients. Today its presence
in India's six major cities speaks of the success of DBS,
which has carved out a niche for itself in India's corporate
scenario. Over the last 21 years DBS has assisted more
than 5000 companies, many of them very high profile, to
start or expand operations in key cities of India.
Since inception DBS has been privileged to have the memberships
of MNCs and national organizations like the Australian,
Singapore and Canadian High Commissions, Reuters, Coca-cola,
Hyatt Regency, Indo-Suez Bank, Snamprogeti, Star TV, Intel,
Oracle, Infosys, Hewlett Packard, Procter and Gamble,
Dell Computers, Tata Indicom and British Airways to name
a few.
DBS Office Business Centers are affiliated to alliance
Business Center Network (ABCN), the largest executive
office solution providers in the world. This allows clients
instant access to services of more than 400 business centers
located in 22 countries around the world, making it very
helpful for individuals and corporates, who need office
space abroad for short-term usage.
"We cater to upmarket clients and in this category, there
is no one who can acomplete with us in India," says Shamsunder
Aggarwal, Chairman and founder of DBS. "It is one of the
most desirable addresses in town and the facilities we
offer are excellent." Ms. Perveez Aggarwal, Managing Director,
adds, "We want to cater to all the needs of the business
traveler. We can get him hotel reservations all over the
world at corporate rates."
In addition, DBS is the only business center in India
which has its own full fledged IATA travel agency, DBS
World Travel, which offers comprehensive travel service
to all its clients.
